In todays society where natural remedies seem to be everywhere from women’s magazines to blogs;) the topic of holistic healing has become as natural (pun intended) to speak about as modern day medicine. But while there are constantly new discoveries in health and healing, the topic of holistic health should not be discussed without mentioning the godfather of holistic health, Edgar Cayce.
My son is a ball of energy. He’s a busy little man who never stops, even when it comes to bedtime. However, I am the same way. Mind always going, thoughts always racing, and energy always moving. So when I discovered a tincture called ‘Chamomile Calm’ I was pretty excited to give it a try for him and for myself.
What I really liked about the Chamomile Calm tincture was that it was soothing and relaxing as opposed to just putting you to sleep. It’s more of an aid to help calm rather then a sleeping drug. The taste is also pretty good and it worked really, really well.
What I didn’t like about it was the price tag! over $10 for 1oz which may not seem like a lot but when two people are taking one dropper a day it runs out pretty quick. So I decided to make it from scratch.
This was very easy to make, a little timely, but well worth it! My son LOVES the taste and actually runs to get it when I pick up the bottle. It’s soothing for him and myself and is way more cost efficient when I make it. From what I have heard most herbs are okay for children two years and up but it’s always a good idea to check with your trusted health person. My son was twenty months when I started giving this to him and he had no issue. So if you, or your little one need a better nights sleep, or more relaxation, give this tincture a try. I hope it works miracles for you like it has for us!
Organic, High Grade Chamomile
Organic, High Grade Lemon Balm
Organic, High Grade Catnip
Organic, High Grade Fennel
Organic, Food Grade Vegetable Glycerine
1 Glass Jar of desired size

1. Fill whatever size jar you are using about halfway full of herbs.
2. Fill jar the rest of the way with Vegetable Glycerine leaving about 1 inch of space from the top.
3. Place lid on jar
4. Fill a crockpot with just enough water so that it sits right below the top of the jar and is covering all of the mixture in the jar.
5. Place a hand towel or washcloth on the bottom of the crockpot and place the jar on top of it. This will prevent the mixture from burning.
6. Set your crockpot to the lowest setting.
7. Leave your crockpot on for about three days, mixing your herb mixture once a day.
8. Once the mixture is done fill dropper bottle 3/4 way with mixture and add filtered water to the top. The glycerine can be sweet so add more or less water depending on your sweets preference.

Valet used as antiseptics in the treatment of wounded soldiers during World War ll which profound results which did not go unnoticed.

Elderberries are a fantastic immune booster, cold and flu fighter and all around great for your health natural alternative. First listed in the CRC Handbook of Medicinal Herbs as early as 1985, and used to treat a flu epidemic in Panama in 1995, Elderberries have shown their worth time and time again. While there are many ways to enjoy elderberries such as food, wine, and tea, elderberry syrup is a tried and true way to keep your immune system strong by preventing, and quickening the ending to a cold or flu.
This syrup is good for 4-6 weeks in the refrigerator and can be taken by the teaspoon in the morning and night as preventive maintenance or by the tablespoon every 2-3 hours when sick. Enjoy and stay healthy!
1/2 cup Elderberries
1/4 cup Rosehips
1 1/2 Tablespoons cinnamon
1 3/4 cups water
1/2 cup honey
1. Bring herbs to boil in a medium pot and lower to a low simmer for 20 minutes
2. Mash herbs a little in pot to remove excess juices.
3. Strain with a fine strainer or cheesecloth, keeping the juice but removing the herbs.
4. Let liquid cool and gently stir in honey.
5. Pour syrup into container and store in the refrigerator up to six weeks.
