With never ending laundry, sensitive skin, and a natural, organic, and a chemical free home I started making our laundry soap at home about a year ago.
Your skin is your largest organ in/on your body, and what you put on your body is essentially going into your body. If you look at the ingredients list of a cheap, chemical filled, detergent can you honestly say you would like your organs to ingest that? I didn’t think so.
Making your detergent at home you can use chemical free, natural ingredients which are not harmful to you, your skin, or any other part of your body. It will get your clothes clean and is safe for sensitive skin and even your little ones. Plus the cost is significantly less while providing more washes!
If you haven’t given homemade detergent a try give this recipe a whirl! 😉
1 empty laundry soap container
1 cup of Dr. Bonner’s castile soap (I use lavender)
1/2 Super Washing Soda
10 Drops lemon essential oil (optional)
